Love is all around

Well anything by Wet Wet Wet would do.
Its not been a good day so far. Firstly the hostel was busy last night and I was woken at 3.00 to the sound of synchronised snoring and the smell of partly digested guinness and gamon steak.
Have to admit that I may have been partly to blame.
Couldn't get back to sleep so breakfast at 5.30 and settle down to listen to my ipod.
On the road just after 7 and its not stopped raining since.
I don't know what is about drivers but while the weather has been good they have been very courteous, giving me plenty of room and normally a wave and a smile.
Now one thing that drivers who have never done any road walking - and until recently I was happy to belong to that group - don't realise is that the side of the road where walkers are is the very part that gathers the run off from the road surface. On a wet day we are often walking in a running stream of water without having to jump out of the way while you eat your breakfast or scold the kids, not to mention the spray that soaks us you go by.
To top it all I'm writing this in a cafe and the bloody sun has just come out.
Really must stop listening to Jack Dee
