This blog was initially set up to detail my thoughts and experiences on taking early retirement from my job at Stratford District Council, and how I prepared to walk from John O Groats to Lands End in 2010. In 2011 I took up the challenge of running a half marathon and this now forms the majority of the blog.

Stu is married to Beth and they have a beautiful son,Zack, who is the apple of my eye. Katy lives in Wiltshire with Aaron.
